The TheBrainDriver™ tDCS device is a portable, user-friendly transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) unit designed to deliver low-intensity electrical currents to the scalp. It’s intended for wellness and cognitive-enhancement purposes (not a medical treatment).

tDCS stands for transcranial direct-current stimulation. It’s a non-invasive brain-stimulation technique where a small direct current flows between electrodes placed on the scalp, modulating brain neuronal excitability. This can influence brain activity in targeted regions.

You can choose from four current levels — 0.5 mA, 1.0 mA, 1.5 mA, or 2.0 mA.

The device also offers two session-duration options: 20 minutes or 30 minutes.

TheBrainDriver™ is considered beginner-friendly and straightforward. To start a session, you simply select the desired current and duration, connect the electrodes, and press start. The device ramps up current gradually to avoid discomfort, then ramps down at session end. It is generally considered non-invasive and low risk when used appropriately. Common side-effects (if any) tend to be mild and temporary, like skin irritation, tingling under electrodes, or slight discomfort.

However — and this is important — tDCS is not approved by the US U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a treatment for any medical condition. That means TheBrainDriver™ is marketed for general wellness/enhancement, not as a medical device.

Because individual responses to tDCS vary widely, some users report noticeable benefits after a few sessions, while others may not see significant changes. The effectiveness of tDCS depends on many factors — such as electrode placement, brain individual differences, session frequency, and consistency.

Typically, multiple sessions over time are more likely to produce effects than isolated sessions.

Usage:

1. Prepare your saline solution: Add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of table salt to an 8 oz. glass of fresh water. Preferably lukewarm temperature. Stir gently until the salt granules have dissolved into the water.
2. Wire set. Insert the red and black metal leads securely into the hole of each of the grey silicone electrodes.
3. Sponges. Insert one sponge securely into each of the grey silicon electrodes. (1 sponge per electrode)
4. With sponges inserted, submerge the electrodes into the saline (salt water) solution until the sponges are soaked.
5. Lightly squeeze out any excess water so that the sponges are not dripping.
6. Connect the wire set into the top of TheBrainDriver™ tDCS device.
7. Place the electrode connected to the red plug over the eyebrow of the hemisphere to stimulate and the electrode connected to the black plug over the eyebrow of the other hemisphere. (Make sure there is as little hair as possible between electrodes and skin.)
   Use the headband to hold the electrodes in place.
8. Press the ON/OFF button and hold for approximately 3 seconds until screen turns on.
9. Select Session Time: Press “T” to toggle the session timer between 20 or 30 minutes.
10. Select Output Level: Press “U” to increase output from 0.5mA up to 2.0mA. The default output is set to the lowest setting, 0.5mA. This is where we recommend beginning each session. Press D= Adjust the power down. *Tip : You can also continue pressing the “U” or “D” button to scroll through all the outputs; 0.5mA, 1.0mA, 1.5mA, 2.0mA
11. Begin Session Press Start/Pause button to confirm your choices and start session.
12. End Session. TheBrainDriver™ will automatically shut down after the 20 or 30 minutes session time has lapsed. To end a session at any time, simply power down the device by pressing the Start/Stop button for 3 seconds.
13. Pause/Resume: You can pause your session at any time by pressing the “Start/Pause” button. To resume your session, press the “Start/Pause” button again.
14. When the session has ended, we recommended that you rinse the electrode sponges with fresh water to remove the saline (salt). Remove the electrodes and place them on their support in the original packaging.
