At NeuroFiT Connections, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, participate, and experience success in their own way. We provide personalized, neuroscience-informed brain and body training for children and young adults who may be experiencing challenges with attention, learning, behavior, communication, sensory processing, movement, emotional regulation, or development. Every program begins with a comprehensive Brain & Body Assessment designed to help us understand each child’s unique strengths and challenges. We use those insights to create a personalized program that may incorporate physical, sensory, motor, cognitive, visual, auditory, rhythm and timing, primitive reflex, executive-function, and nutrition-based strategies. Rather than building a program around a diagnosis, we build it around the child.
A diagnosis can help families better understand what their child is experiencing—but it doesn’t tell us everything about the individual child. Two children with the same diagnosis may have very different strengths, challenges, and needs. That’s why we look beyond labels to understand how each child’s brain and body are functioning together. Our goal is to identify foundational skills that may benefit from additional support and create purposeful opportunities to strengthen them—helping children participate more fully at home, at school, and in everyday life. Retain the Strengths. Make the Challenges Less Limiting.
Our mission is to help children build stronger foundations for learning, movement, communication, self-regulation, confidence, and everyday independence. We believe every child has strengths worth celebrating and potential worth nurturing. By understanding the individual child, partnering with families, and creating personalized programs based on comprehensive assessment, we work to help children develop skills that can support them today and as they grow.
Every child deserves the opportunity to discover what they’re capable of. Families often come to NeuroFiT Connections after watching a bright, capable child struggle with things that seem to come more easily to other children—paying attention, learning to read, coordinating movement, communicating, managing emotions, making friends, or simply getting through everyday routines. Behind those challenges is a child with interests, talents, personality, and potential. That’s the child we want families to see. Our work is about understanding what may be making everyday life harder, identifying foundational skills that could benefit from support, and giving children meaningful opportunities to practice and develop those skills. The moments that matter aren’t necessarily dramatic. Sometimes it’s completing homework with fewer reminders. Trying something they previously avoided. Joining other children on the playground. Riding a bicycle. Reading with greater confidence. Handling disappointment and trying again. Becoming a little more independent. Those moments are why we do what we do.
Learning. Movement. Attention. Sensory processing. Communication. Emotional regulation. Executive function. These abilities may look separate in everyday life, but the brain and body rely on interconnected systems to accomplish them. That’s why our approach looks beyond an isolated symptom or diagnosis. Depending on a child’s age and abilities, our Brain & Body Assessment evaluates multiple areas of brain and body function to help us develop a more complete picture of how that individual child processes information, coordinates movement, supports learning, and interacts with the world around them.
NeuroFiT Connections grew from Coach Jackie’s lifelong interest in helping people become healthier, stronger, and more confident. Her background includes leadership and coaching, holistic wellness, fitness, nutrition, and years of working directly with children experiencing developmental, learning, behavioral, sensory, and movement challenges. As her work with children grew, so did her interest in understanding the connection between the brain, body, movement, learning, and behavior. She pursued additional education and training with professionals in functional neurology and brain development, including Dr. Robert Melillo and other experts in the field. That journey eventually led Jackie and Timothy to create NeuroFiT Connections—bringing together neurology and fitness in a personalized approach centered on understanding the individual child. Today, NeuroFiT Connections combines comprehensive assessment, neuroscience-informed brain and body activities, individualized programming, progress monitoring, parent education, and one-on-one coaching. And while the tools and knowledge continue to evolve, the reason behind the work remains remarkably simple: help children build the skills and confidence they need to participate more fully in their own lives.
Comprehensive Assessment — Every program begins by looking at the individual child rather than assuming a diagnosis tells the whole story. Personalized Programming — Activities and recommendations are selected based on your child’s assessment results, strengths, challenges, and goals. Brain + Body Approach — We recognize that learning, attention, movement, sensory processing, and self-regulation depend on brain and body systems working together. One-on-One Coaching — Children receive individualized attention, encouragement, and appropriately challenging activities as they develop new skills. Programs That Evolve — We monitor progress and adjust activities as children develop rather than following a fixed, one-size-fits-all protocol. Parent Partnership — Families are an important part of the process. We explain what we’re seeing, answer questions, and help parents better understand their child’s development.
There is no single NeuroFiT child—and there is no single NeuroFiT program. Some children come to us with an ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or other diagnosis. Others have no formal diagnosis at all. Their parents simply know something is making learning, movement, attention, behavior, sensory processing, communication, or everyday life more difficult than it needs to be. The label isn’t where we begin. The child is.

Thank you so much for all your hard work with Penny at NeuroFiT Connections. I have noticed such a change in Penny over the last six months and especially in the last month working with you. Thank you so much for your patience and bonding with her. I’m so thankful we were able to get one on one time with you.
My husband and I love NeuroFit. We have 2 daughters in a 12 week program right now and it’s been about 4 weeks so far and we’re seeing results. Our freshman has many inattentive ADD symptoms, she struggles to hear and retain directions and information and she lacks all drive for anything that isn’t boys or tv, including being clean and last week, she cleaned her room. I walked in and was shocked. I asked her about it and she said, Yeah, it was weird…I had the thought and then I just like, did it. 😳 🤩 Monumental for this child! Then this week she cleaned her desk. I’m ecstatic..
A child who struggles with attention may also be endlessly curious. A child who finds reading difficult may be an extraordinary problem-solver. A child who struggles with coordination may have an incredible imagination. A child who becomes overwhelmed easily may notice details other people miss. We don’t want to take those qualities away. We want to better understand what’s making everyday life difficult and help children develop foundational skills that allow more of their strengths to shine through. Retain the Strengths. Make the Challenges Less Limiting.
If your child is struggling with attention, learning, movement, sensory processing, communication, emotional regulation, behavior, or everyday independence, the first step isn’t choosing a program. It’s understanding your child. A comprehensive Brain & Body Assessment gives us a starting point for understanding your child’s individual strengths and challenges and determining whether NeuroFiT Connections may be an appropriate fit for your family.
